Happy holidays!

Happy holidays!

This was the Christmas card that was published on Suosikki magazine in the mid-80s. I thought it was sad to see Pam and Bobby in separate pictures. They were divorced on the show during that time, so I figured it was only fitting to put Bobby with his momma and Pam with her precious horse shoes... ;)

Moreover, it was appropriate that Afton should be in this card, after all, she was highly popular in Finland. Audrey Landers even visited Helsinki with her sister Judy in the 80s. Maybe, if Ken Kercheval had sang Manuel Goodbye wearing red glittery dress, he would have made it to this card, as well.

Nevertheless, with this card I want to say thank you to all of you for sticking with me and this blog.
I hope you enjoy the last days of 2016! See y'all soon!

Welcome to Finland, Dallas!

Dallas began in Finland on Wednesday, September 2nd 1981. Finally!

This article from magazine Apu was published August 28th, a few days before Dallas’ beginning. Title proudly proclaims ”Welcome to Dallas!”

The article informs us ignorant Finns that Dallas is perhaps the most popular tv show at the moment everywhere. Even in Sweden, where half of the population is watching Dallas.

Moreover, we get to know the main players. There are Miss Ellie and Jock, of course. Charlene Tilton, the new Lolita of the eighties, plays Lucy. Sue Ellen is the former beauty queen. Then we have the newlyweds Bobby and Pam. Funnily enough, Victoria Principal's body is one of the main attractions of the show according to Apu. How true! (I couldn't get my eyes of her and I'm gay).

However, Dallas is eventually two letters: JR. He's the guy everyone loves to hate!

There’re also some spoilers about Knots Landing and some shootings and deaths and babies and recasts. Oh dear.

Enjoy!
